Simulation & Process Modeling

We use our internal FEM and CFD modeling expertise to virtually analyze customer components made from our specially developed alloy Amloy ZR01 & ZR02, both in terms of their mechanical strength and their behavior in the injection molding process.

FEM Analysis: Structural mechanics & stress evaluation

Using the finite element method (FEM), we simulate the mechanical stress on components made from our Amloy alloys under customer-specified load conditions. This enables us to identify potential weak points and optimize wall thicknesses for maximum mechanical performance and minimum mass.

CFD Simulation: Process optimization in injection molding

Based on the FEM-optimized geometry, we analyze the injection molding process using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The goal is uniform, turbulence-free filling under optimal conditions:

  • Optimization of the number, position, and cross-section of the sprue channels
  • Adjustment of the injection speed profile to avoid turbulence
  • Analysis of the temperature distribution and flow dynamics of the alloy

This coordinated approach provides us with reliable insights into component performance and process reliability – even before the first physical sample is created.

We also offer our powerful CFD solution for analyzing and optimizing injection molding process of materials. The simulation provides real-time insights into critical process parameters such as temperature distribution, flow behavior, and potential defect zones.

Thanks to these data driven insights, tool design, process windows, and material flow can be specifically optimized, significantly faster and more cost effective than through physical trial and error loops.

Your benefit: minimized development times, reduced production risks, and reliable manufacturing process control.

We support you in producing high‑quality injection molded components with reproducible and efficient processes.
