Experience the Entire Manufacturing Process Live

The highlight of Tech Day is a hands-on tour of Heraeus AMLOY’s manufacturing and development facilities. Visitors will experience the entire amorphous metal production chain firsthand, from alloy production through die-casting, injection-molding, and additive manufacturing to the quality analysis of finished components. Components are produced directly on-site and then tested, providing a direct insight into the production of high-precision components ready for series production.

Feasibility assessment and cost calculation directly on-site

In addition, you will gain insights into technical project evaluation and product development at Heraeus AMLOY. Our experts will use concrete examples to demonstrate how feasibility analyses, production-oriented component design, as well as simulations and CAD analyses are utilized to develop cost-effective and process-reliable solutions. Additionally, you will gain insights into cost calculation and learn which factors are critical for the economic evaluation and series production of amorphous metal components.

Since the last Tech Day, Heraeus AMLOY has systematically advanced the manufacturing capabilities of amorphous metals: While the focus back then was primarily on prototypes and potential applications, TechDay 2026 centers on solutions ready for series production and series components that are already being successfully manufactured.

Thanks to the full integration of AMS and proprietary injection molding technology, high-precision amorphous metal components can now be economically manufactured in series. The technologies enable:

• Precision in the range of 3–10 µm
• Surface roughness of up to 0.05 µm (R_a) and 1 µm (R_z)
• Wall thicknesses starting at 100 µm
• Series production with cycle times under 90 seconds

In this way, Heraeus AMLOY combines the precision of machining processes with the efficiency of modern injection molding processes for highly complex components with excellent surface quality, high repeatability, and significant cost advantages over conventional CNC machining (up to 50%).
